Whale Watching in Newport Beach

Whenever you choose to visit Newport Beach, you can look forward to prime whale watching opportunities all year around.

The warmer Pacific waters in June-October brings magnificent Blue whales to our vicinity, as well as Fin whales and Humpback whales.

Other marine life we see on occasion include sea lions, harbor seals, mako sharks, hammerhead sharks, and ocean sunfish.

From December to May you can witness the Gray whale migration period. Over 20,000 of these animals make the migration past Newport Beach; southbound in the winter, and northbound in the spring.

More Newport Beach Fun
